Major & minor losses for Heat Exchanger

Question

How should i model major and minor losses at a heat exchanger? 
 The heat exchanger are linked with 100mm diameter pipe on both side shown in figure A.The internal and external diameter of Heat exchanger is 80mm & 100mm respectively. Inside the heat exhanger 4 Nos. 30 mm diameter stainless steel pipes are there(shown in figure B).

I can see two ways to do this in WaterGEMS. 
 
1. Get a curve/table from the manufacturer of head loss (pressure drop) vs. flow and use a General Purpose Valve (GPV) element to simulate the head loss. If you have a flow meter and a tap to measure pressure at each end, you can generate your own curve. 
 
2. If you don't have that data, model it as 4 parallel pipes but then you will need to add in a minor loss coefficient for expansion and contraction at each end.
