Diameter (Dipping Tube) and Variable Elevation Curve.

Hello  for  all  ,

I want to thank Mr. Jesse for the help he has given me.
I'm currently working on "dipping tube" and I do not know why I get this message: Diameter (Dipping Tube) must be smaller than the smallest tank diameter in the Variable Elevation Curve.

That it is the relationship between the 2.

I have copied that 3variable elevation Curve represents the variations of volume through the thank following the elevations.

That is to say that when j erases the small diameters at VARIABLE ELEVATION Curve this message does not appear, although I have to represent the bottom of the tank which has a zero volume therefore no equivalent diameter.  please what is the mistake

  • Hello Saliha,

What version of HAMMER are you using? I tried setting up a similar table in the latest release (10.00.00.55) and did not encounter the same problem (even though the elevations are not in order).

Please also include a copy of the model file so we can test it on our end: Sharing Hydraulic Model Files on the Haestad Forum

  • Hi

I forget to say that my tank has already a form , it is horizontal and I must follow the elevation to determine the volume resulting from the height and determine the equivalent diameter (which I assume is the diameter of the sphere that contains this effective intention) so I Can not change my diameters. But I can not write others that are less than 300mm, but I do not understand why the software requires us this

    BEst regards
  • Thank you so much Mark , for your reply .i apologize for my translation in English
Which is sometimes not understandable .

But like that we will not go through all the points of the reservor according to what I understood before, then one can i give a only one point in this case in tha variable elevation curve , and it does not affect the results Of the software ?

    Thank you.
  • Saliha,

All the values in the diameter equivalent column need to be greater than 0.3 (300 mm), which is the diameter of the dipping tube. Row 10 and row 3 in the variable elevation curve need to be larger.

    Regards,

    Mark
