Fire flow 0 LPS

Hello, I have some questions related to the fire flow module.

Why does the program set Fire Flow Available as 0 LPS?

Does this depend on the need to create Pressure Zones in the model?

Can the results of fire flow calculations depends on the fact that a given zone is powered by water from two sources?

I set Fire Flow (Needed) as 10 LPS, Pressure (Residual Lower Limit) as 20 mH2O, Pressure (Zone Lower Limit) as 20 mH2O  and Fire Flow (Upper Limit) as 220 LPS.

  • Hello Aleksandra,

The fire flow available will be zero when that particular node is not able to provide the required fire flow.

Creating zones and assigning them to the elements is required here, because for the minimum zone pressure constraint, the program checks pressures for all other nodes in the model that are assigned to the same zone as the fire flow node in question.

Please read below mentioned technote to understand the fire flow results.

If this does not help then, please provide your model files.
