well , i have outlet higher than the last manhole invert level in my stormwater network .... what is the optimum way to deal with this situation ? since i confused ... i see alot of things in stormcad software like ( pond, wet well, pump and pump station) i dont know what to use for a highway in urban area !!
It's difficult to tell what the problem is from your brief description.
Usually, it would be because
1. You designed slopes are too steep,
2. You are not following the natural slopes in the area,
3 You are trying to make the water flow uphill by gravity.
Look at the natural slope in the area and try to use that.
thank you sir for reply, its like a low point in the network.... and i think i have to use a pump.. but i dont know how or what to use (pond, wet well, pump or pump station)
Use Gravity pipe - Wet well - Pressure pipe - Pump - Pressure pipe

Hello Mahmoud,
In StormCAD with GVF rational solver, pumps operate like flow in = flow out, pressure pipes are considered as conduits and the pump curve is not used here in the calculations.
Rather the suction head of the pump is taken as the wet well level and the discharge head on the pump is determined using the GVF backwater analysis from downstream elements.

Thanks Sushma.
I forgot to ask which solver you are using. My answer was for one of the dynamic wave solvers (implicit or explicit).
If you're using the GVF Rational solver in StormCAD, follow what Sushma said.
