RE: Inactive elements displayed in WaterGEMS in SS6 version.

Ref: https://communities.bentley.com/products/hydraulics___hydrology/f/haestad-hydraulics-and-hydrology-forum/117546/inactive-elements-displayed-in-watergems-in-ss6-version

This problem is occurring for me in HAMMER Version 10.00.00.50 64-Bit.  I tried all of the solutions mentioned in the Wiki article and turned off all color coding.  Inactive elements other than pipes disappear when the inactive elements display switch is turned off but pipes do not.  Any suggestions?

  • Hello LWillnow,

I have split your post to a separate thread and referenced the old thread.

To confirm, there are pipes that are set to inactive ("is active?" = False), but when you have the "display inactive topology" option unchecked, those pipes still display? If you open the model database ("database files" from the "files of type" dropdown in the file open dialog), there is no change? (this would rule out any element symbology configuration/issues) Can you provide a copy of the model for review? (.WTG, .DWH and .SQLITE) -

  • Jesse,

To confirm, pipes that are set to inactive ("is active?" = False) still display when I have the "display inactive topology" option unchecked.  If I open the database file, the inactive pipes are not displayed but I have to save the model as a new file.  I am worried that there could be inadvertent changes when I do this.  But if it the only way, I will do it.

  • Hello Lindle,

I can't reproduce what you are seeing. I was able to go to Tools > Tools > More > Options and uncheck the Display Inactive Elements option, with the inactive elements disappearing. As a test, try moving just the .wtg and .wtg.sqlite files to a new folder and trying the steps again. Perhaps there is an issue with one of your supporting files.

If that doesn't help, confirm if you are working in the standalone environment or in a platform like ArcMap.

    Regards,
