HelloAfter Modeling A transient EventThe Maximum Pressure is decrease , then increase as Shown in the Figure BelowMy Question is that normal another Question is , the level in Air/vapor Volume in the figure make sense when the pressure increase in distance 6,250.000 ..the volume is small compared in begin in the lineThanks a lot
Hello Adnan,
An animation of the profile will give you a good idea of the timing of the pressure surge and how long it takes to dampen out. Depending on the system, it may not be unusual to see a large transient event for a relatively small volume of air or vapor. This is because how quickly the volume of air or vapor is expeleed has a big impact. If the the water column from a vapor pocket collapse happens quickly, this can have a drastic impact on the system.
It's difficult to tell looking at the screenshot only and without seeing the model, but there looks to be at least one other smaller or air pocket forming besides the large on at the beginning of the profile. Though small, a collapse of this pocket can impact the results to, either on its own or through an interaction of the other air or vapor pocket collapse. Again, animating the profile can be a benefit for understanding the results.
Regards,
Scott
