"The Global Storm Event is not selected" CivilStorm

I am using civil storm for the first time to try and model an actual rain event that occurred and testing the existing conditions of my storm water system. I was able to get 24 hour data from the airport data in five minute increments. I went into Storm data and I created a new time-depth storm. Within the Storm Event Input I created a "New Return Event". In here I set up the settings to be a 25 year return event, changed the depth type to incremental, and then entered the start time, increment, and end time. From there I entered in the depths recorded. I then created an alternative for the date that this rain occurred and then selected this rain event under global storm data. I then created a scenario for this rain event. I tried to compute the model and I get the error code "44000    "July 6th"    "(N/A)"    "-1"    "(N/A)"    (N/A)    "The global storm event is not selected, the selected storm event does not exist or the storm event is not an IDF storm event.  To select a storm, go to Components - Global Storm Events. To create a storm event, go to Components - Storm Data."    Hydraulic Results" I am curious to know what is going wrong or if anyone would have any hints as to where I went wrong. Thank you!
