We recently built a new water model for a city using WaterGEMS.
We obtained 5-year billing data, then associated the addresses with x and y coordinates, then imported the 5-yr average demand as Customer Meter Elements.
Now we are building sewer models for the same city.
We have the 5-yr average billing data for winter quarter water usage in gallons per minute.
Can we import this winter demands as sewer flow into SewerCAD using LoadBuilder?
Do the LoadBuilder in SewerCAD work similarly to WaterCAD?
What are the things we need to be aware of when using SewerCAD?
Thank you for our input.
Yoko
Hello Yoko,
LoadBuilder in SewerCAD will work like it does in WaterCAD. However, SewerCAD includes the Flow Monitoring Distribution method.
LoadBuilder - Flow Monitoring Distribution
You should be able to import the same file you used in WaterCAD.

Craig,
Thank you.
Your welcome.
I forgot to mention that SewerCAD also has the ability to import the data into Property Connections.
Wiki: Using LoadBuilder to assign Property Connections to the nearest element while creating taps and/or laterals
Blog [VID]: Introducing individual Property Connections to your model
Wiki: Modeling storm/sewer Property Connections
Thank you for letting me know about Property Connections.
The data file I have will be more like the property connections since they are not sewer meter data, but customer meter data for water. The last Wiki indicates that this property connections capability applies to both SewerCAD and SewerGEMS, but first two links indicate only SewerGEMS.
Could you please verify that it applies to SewerCAD as well?
Thanks.
Property connections are applicable for GVF-Convex solver of SewerCAD, SewerGEMS and CivilStorm as well.
I tested this is SewerCAD 10.01.00.70 i.e. latest version and it works, please see below.

Sushma,
Thank you!
FYI I have corrected the article from Craig's first two links to mention GVF-Convex (SewerCAD) compatibility.
