hec hms data to pondpack

I am currently creating hydrographs in hec hms (hec ddsvue) and then transfering them by cut and paste to pond pack.  this is very time consuming. Is there a better way.

  • Hello David,

Are you able to store the hydrograph data in an external file format such as Excel, or would you still need to copy/paste for that? PondPack has a tool called ModelBuilder which can automate the import of external data including hydrographs, but it needs to be in a file such as an Excel spreadsheet or database, and in the right format to import as a hydrograph.

If HEC-HMS can produce ASCII files, you may be able to import those as well, using the methods explained here: Importing hydrographs from Graphical HEC-1

  • Hello David,

As we discussed during our phone conversation, copy/paste is the best method to transfer hydrograph data from HEC-HMS to PondPack.
