Anyone having issues with WaterGEMS V8i crashing when either adding a new scenario to a simple model, or when editing elements of a scenario?
Compacting databases or moving .wtglight files to a separate directory then re-inserting them is useless. No help from Bentley.

If you are referring to printing of the plan view of the drawing, it sounds like your difficulties may be due to the fact that the application attempts to fit the entire drawing pane (including any blank space) into the page. You can generally get better results if you drag the surrounding docked managers to change the shape of the drawing pane to better match the shape of the model. Lee Niles said:As I understand it, the new version of WaterGEMS will not import an AutoCAD 2015 file?
The AutoCAD compatibility refers to the ability to use WaterGEMS inside of AutoCAD; "WaterGEMS for AutoCAD ...". The latest version of WaterGEMS can still import a DXF file generated by an older version of AutoCAD. See more in our Wiki: Importing an AutoCAD or MicroStation CAD file using ModelBuilder
If by "AutoCAD 2015 file" you are referring to a WaterGEMS model created in the WaterGEMS for AutoCAD interface - the file can still be opened, as our products are backward compatible. Meaning, you can always open a model file saved in an older version. When working in WaterGEMS for AutoCAD, the file is saved as a .DWG, but WaterGEMS maintains its own model files alongside it automatically - it will save a .WTG and .SQLITE file with the same base file name as the .DWG, and the files will be linked when opening the .DWG in AutoCAD mode. You can still open the .WTG file in the Standalone version (and it can be opened in a newer version as well. See more in our Wiki: Model backward / forward compatibility
