Undefined Isolation Valves Imported through ModelBuilder

I am working with a water system in WaterGems. I was given the Esri shape files for the system and was able to import them easily into the software using ModelBuilder. However, I have over 100 water main valves that I imported as isolation valves and now have an unreferenced pipe in the model. The shape files I was given do not have a field where I can define the reference pipe in ModelBuilder and I do not want to have to define over 100 isolation valves by hand. Is there a simple solution for this?
