When moving through the timesteps of an EPS and viewing color coded elements, is there away to make the program automatically update the colors as each hour progresses? The only way I have found is to manually check and uncheck the little box in Element Symbology.

You'll want to turn Auto-refresh on.

If auto-refresh doesn't help, then try moving the two main model files to another folder. This is documented in in the following article.
