Opening old WaterCAD Files

Hi,  I have a WaterCAD model that is a extension .WCD  and there is no .MDB file.  I found a Bentley post about converting/saving up to WaterCAD Version 8 but I don't have V7 on my computer to use "as a bridge" to save up.  Here is a link to the page explaining the process:

https://communities.bentley.com/products/hydraulics___hydrology/w/hydraulics_and_hydrology__wiki/9295/opening-old-watercad-or-watergems-wcd-model-files-and-preserving-presentation-settings

Bentley, can you save my file to Version 8?  I have attached a zipped folder with the file.Water Model.zip

Thanks,

Greg

  • Thanks for the help Jesse.  I was able to change the name of the .mdk to .mdb and open the file.  I am checking with the client to see if they have the .mdb so we are sure to be using the most up-to-date model.  If they don't I will use the model I converted and check the model against the city utility map for accuracy.

    Thanks again,

    Greg
