Hello, I am running a CivilStorm model using SWMM engiine. However, I am getting a warning message "SWMM does not support the elevation-flow boundary condition at outfall. Assuming Free Outfall" My model's outfall is going into a river so I would really like to use the elevation-flow curve to define my tailwater condition for different storm events and not to use free outfall. How do i fix it for CivilStorm to use elevation-flow as boundary condition. I appreciate with your helps. Thank you.
Hello Alexander,
Elevation-flow boundary condition of outfall is not available for Explicit solver in CivilSrorm, if you want to use that boundary condition of outfall, then you need to use Implicit solver.
Please allow us some time to discuss this with development team to understand why Elevation-flow boundary condition of outfall is not available for Explicit solver.
Here is information about differences between different solvers for your reference.

Thank you Sushma
Since you say that this outfall represents a river, then if you need to use the SWMM solver, you could also try modeling the river explicitly, to simulate the relationship between flow and tailwater. This could be done using cross sections and channel elements.
