Happy new year to those in Australia!
Is it possible for me to assign two-inlet pipes to one Tank using Bentley WaterGems software update 10.00.01.04?I have two inlet pipes that are used to feed one tank all from the top.
Sushma and Scott,
Thank you for the suggestions. Although I am designing a gravity piped scheme network so the use of PSVs will look strange when I present my model to my seniours.Any other suggestions please?
Hi Mulongo, as noted, the "separate inlet" option can only have one inlet pipe. Here are some options when using the suggested PSV workaround:
1) Turn off the PSV layer in element symbology so that the PSV nodes disappear in the plan view.
2) Label the PSVs accordingly, to help clarify what they are used for.
3) Explain to the reviewer/senior modelers that the PSVs are used so that the model "sees" the inlet invert elevations.
4) If the two pipes connect to the tank at the same elevation (or roughly the same), consider modeling them as one single pipe, then use the "separate inlet" and "tank fills from top" features in the tank.

Option number 4 will serve as a temporal solution for now Jesse. Thank you for the reply
