Customization of flex table Of Junction

I have allotted Unit demand to junction. The no. of Units is Area in Ha. and the unit demand is 1.5lps/ha. Now i want to customized junction flex table. I want No. of units in junction flex table.

  • Hello Prash,

To see number of units in junction flex table, please add column- " Unit demand collection"

Right click on any column>Add column>Demand>Unit demand collection.

  • Thank you mam for your valuable suggestion. I follow same procedure but i get unit demand collection in following format : <Collection: 1 Item>

I want the format in same manner seen in Unit demand Table as follows:

  • Hello Prash,

Pipe flex table, would show the final demand calculated or it will show you the number of unit demand collections for a junctions, meaning does a junction have 1 unit demand or multiple unit demands associated to it. Once you click on the <collection : 1 item >, it will show the number of unit demands in a separate window.

To see the number of units for each junction you will need to use unit demand control center.

Can you please elaborate your need of having number of units column visible / applicable in junction flex table, so accordingly we can log an enhancement for this feature?

  • Yes, It is correct that if we wanna check No. of unit demand, we have to click on  the <collection : 1 item >, it will show the number of unit demands in a separate window. But I need to check these No. of unit demand in junction table for all the demand nodes at a time .  Even i can check it in unit demand control window., but can same same thing will display in junction table?

  • Prash, because it is possible to have multiple separate demand entries for a given junction, it is not possible to show those details directly in the junction table, because the pipe table shows one row for each junction. For example if you had a junction J-1 that had 10 units of a Residential unit demand, and 5 units of a Commercial demand, the junction table could not express this in a single row. Hence, the Unit Demand Control Center is used for this purpose.

As Sushma mentioned, it would be helpful to understand more details of how this fits with your overall workflow. Meaning, what will you use this information for, in the junction table?

If you need to perform advanced reporting, you could consider using the unit load collection Table Type in ModelBuilder to connect to an external file such as a spreadsheet, then sync-out to the unit load information to the spreadsheet. For example if you only have one type of unit load and just want to count up the number of units, a function in Excel might be able to help with that.
