GATE VALVE HEADLOSS COEFFICIENT

Hi folks, good am. I just want to ask about on how to determine/compute the headloss coefficient of a throttled Gate Valve, let's say 5 turns open only. Hoping for your response folks. Thanks and God Bless....

  • Also, you could estimate the headloss coefficient for the gate valve based on the default minor loss (K) coefficients found in the minor loss engineering library. For example if you know the fraction open corresponding to the number of turns, you could choose the value from the library for one quarter open, half open, three quarters open, etc.
