Thanks in advance. How can i give junction demand in intersecting node, lets consider J8 for reference?
I have pipe network, with household number and population, this network is to be designed based on demand per day and per capita demand is 100 lpd. As per your reply
Hello Bishnuhari,
In what format do you have this demand data? Do you have shapefiles or Excel data?
If you have shapefiles you can import them via ModelBuilder; Importing Demand and Loading Patterns using ModelBuilder
If you have spreadsheet data you can import them via ModelBuilder too; Importing Demands From A Spreadsheet
The first thing you should find out is what kind of demands are associated with the junction J-8. Let us assume that a two "houses" are to be supplied from J-8. Then you have the following data with you;
House 1 : Population (say 5) and Demand (100 lpcd)
House 2 : Population (say 7) and Demand (100 lpcd)
You can use "Unit Demands" to specify the population and demand per capita at every junction. See the below article for details on this;
Unit demand control center Vs. Demand control center
Another option is to use the Customer Meter element to specify individual houses and assign the demands to those elements.
If you have milling meter data or population density and area then you can use LoadBuilder to assign the demands;
How do each of the LoadBuilder methods work?
Hope this helps.
