Is there a way to have sewergems display catchments on a certain layer? I would love to be able to use transparency but do not see a way to do it in autocad?
On a related note would it be possible to use dwg files as background in standalone sewergems?
I see that your post is tagged as "sewergems for autocad" so I assume you are using the AutoCAD platform.
In the MicroStation integrated version, you can control which level (layer) each element type is placed on. You can read more about it in the following article from our wiki: Assign elements and annotations to specific levels when a project is attached to a DGN in MicroStation
In the Standalone version of SewerGEMS, you can change the transparency of catchments, using Element Symbology. See more here: Changing catchment transparency
There are many CAD-related features in the Standalone version that you may be able to use instead of AutoCAD features. For example you can import a CAD file to create model elements using ModelBuilder, you can add it as a background layer, and you can export the Standalone model to DXF format to use AutoCAD for presentation purposes.
