What is the best way to troubleshoot when receiving an error message about my database for not being recognized?
Janice Shon,
Your issue is the subject of this Wiki article - Unable to open .SWR or .STM file or "Database format not recognized or read-only"
The error is covered in Option #2 in this article and instructions can be found to correct it in the second paragraph of the Solution which begins "For the error..."
Please try the steps listed in the article and post back if you still have problems opening the file.
Thank-you,
Larry
Thank you Larry for your suggestion. I have tried that solution option, but it still didn't open my file. Do you think I'll have to start a new model?
Hi Sushma, It has been some time ago, but I am running into some problems again with this file. Would you be able to help me figure out if it's a user error issue (which is very possible as this is my first time using StormCAD for a project)? When I was inputting data before I was able to retrieve the HGL and EGL lines in the profiles, but when I modified some things it no longer shows up at all.
Thank you,
Janice
Hello Janice,
Yes sure, can you please upload model files for our review?

Hi Sushma,
I uploaded the files to the secure file upload. The file names are P250 P260 Drainage_Updated.stsw and P250 P260 Drainage_Updated.stsw.sqlite
Janice S,
I had to rename your .stsw.sqlite file to match the model file name.
The corrected name for your database file is P250 P260 Drainage_Updated (2).stsw.sqlite
Please rename your database file (copy/paste from this post) so that it matches your model file name (with .SQLite at the end) and see if your model opens.
I also noticed from your error message that you are attempting to open the model using Select Series 5. The last version that the file was modified in was 10.01.00.04 (Update 1). You must be running the same version.
