Un even valve closing time in water hammar.

Question

Hell all, 
 
 How to model a valve closure time say 90% of closing with in some time and remaining 10% with in some time in water hammer software. So that surge pressure will be with in design pressure pipe.

Hello Satish, 
 To model valve closure of the valve you can use the operation pattern for the valve, (Components > Patterns > Operational (Transient, Valve) ). 
 Here you can specify the time for valve closure and then % of relative closure of valve, as seen in below screenshot. 
 
 There is a sample mode of valve closure of TCV - "Valve_Closure_Example" in the installation folder, which you can use as a reference for modeling.
