stormcad in microstation: Assigning catchment area by selecting elements in microstation

I am using Stormcad integrated into Microstation.

I have my drainage area boundaries delineated and pipe layouts in Microstation.

Can I layout my Stormcad catchment area by selecting the drainage boundary line in Microstation, and then the stormcad conduit by selecting the pipes in Microstation?

I am running StormCAD Connect Edition (update 2) in Microstation v8i (ss4).

  • Ekene,

What you can do is export your Microstation elements (drainage boundaries and conduits) to a Modelbuilder format (the formats are listed in the modelbuilder wiki I'll be linking to) and import the elements into StormCAD. This wiki on Modelbuilder explains the process in more detail and will help you choose which attributes to include in the exported element files.
