Depending on the scenario I have water flowing in one or the other direction in my pipe. Therefore I want the color coding to work regardless of the sign in front of the velocity, so use only absolute values. Is there a way to set color coding on absolute values?

You want to do your color coding with Flow (Absolute), not Flow
Thank you, but I am looking at the velocity and there is no "Velocity (Absolute)" that I see.

A formula User Data Extension may be useful here. These can be used when there is a model result that you want reported that is not currently in the program. You can create a formula User Data Extension that uses the absolute flow and the pipe area to find the absolute velocity.
User Data Extensions are available for color coding and annotations through Element Symbology.
