Can somebody explain how the static and residual pressure obtained during a two-hydrant flow test will be obtained? i.e. how is the physical procedure to do that and how the reading would be taken?
Select two adjacent hydrants. Attach a pressure gage to the residual hydrants and record the static pressure. Open the flowed hydrant and record the flow and the residual pressure at the gage where you recorded the static pressure.
In addition to the basic data, yo should also record the date, time, and boundary conditions (tank levels, pump operations).
The procedure is documented in many places. Here is a video from the 1980's.
