i am using an older version of pondpack. i trying to find out if recent improvements to the software has made output and printing earier and more effiecient. If so i would like to know how?

Hello David,
Yes, PondPack is still available as a product. The latest version is PondPack CONNECT Edition. This has a number of reporting options, from the Report Builder that was included in the legacy versions of the product to reports that can be generated from graphs or flextables.
What version are you currently using? What output and printing options are you looking for?
Regards,Scott
Scott,
the version that i currently use as a stand alone is 7/30/2009 [08.11.01.51]
i need to print items to 8.5 by 11, 11 by 17 (both on a printer) and 24 by 36 on plotter. every time i want to print a different paper size i have to go out ot pondpack and set the printer preferences on my computer station.
david
Are you saying that you are changing the paper size in the "page setup" of the print preview, and the preview and/or printout does not respect the page size selection? (unless you set it as the default printer/size in the printer properties?) From a brief check, I am not seeing this issue with my particular printer, in either 08.11.01.56 nor 10.02.00.01. However, this might be a printer-specific issue.
Does this happen in any report/printout, or in a specific type of report?
Does the issue happen if you print to PDF? (using a Windows built-in PDF printer driver, or other free PDF drivers)
Can you provide screenshots showing an example of the issue? I am not aware of any specific fixes made in the CONNECT Edition that would address this type of issue, but it is possible. You may want to consider upgrading anyways (see also the other items mentioned in article that Scott linked to)

when i first encountered this issue a number of years ago, Bentely told me that it had been fixed in a newer version of the software but that i would need to upgrade my software. That was back when the economy tanked and we had canceled our subscription service.
Hi David,
I would recommend that you try upgrading. No training is required as the new version is the same as the one you were using before, as far as functionality and user interface. The one thing you may want to be aware of, is the new licensing methodology introduced with 10.02.00.01, which requires sign-in to the CONNECTION Client. You can read more about it here: Licensing OpenFlows products - Subscription Entitlement Service (CONNECT Licensing)
If you still encounter the problem in the latest version, please let us know and include details as per my previous post.
Jesse,
Thanks for your reply. The first thing i will do is to see if i have the same issue with printing to adobe. It makes since to print ot adobe first anyway.
what exactly do you mean "try upgrading" ?
Is there a way to test out a trial version ?
Your statement above about "No training is required as the new version is the same as the one you were using before," does not provide any incentive to upgrade.
David
