How to modify Active Demand Adjustments by using Waterobjects.NET?

Hello,

How to modify Active Demand Adjustments by using Waterobjects.NET?

Explanation: in WaterGEMS GUI there is an option Home > Options > Base Calculation Options > Properties > Active Demand Adjustments where you can globally modify the demand values for speciific demand patterns. The question is: how to access this option programmatically, by using WaterObjects.NET? Could you also provide a sample code to show what functions and how theys should be used to update existing demand adjustments, or to add/remove ones?

Thank you in advance,
Best regards,
Grzegorz Bułka

  • Hello Grzegorz, I will seek assistance from one of our developers for this. In the meantime, can you provide some background on why you need to do this? What kind of demand adjustments do you need to apply and what type of situation requires that this be done via a WaterObjects.NET tool?

  • Hello Jesse,

We have a setup where WaterGEMS is running in continuous simulation loop by using SCADA Connect Simulator. It gets real-time input data (boundary conditions) from SCADA system via OPC server. What is missing is ability to adjust the total water demand as calculated by WaterGEMS compared to real-time measurements gathered from SCADA system. Knowing the real total water demand from SCADA, and having it compared to the one calculated in WaterGEMS, we would like to adjust the demand in WaterGEMS so that they both were equal. Thus we make the simulation more accurate.

  • Thanks for the details. We are discussing internally and will get back to you shortly.

  • Hi Jesse,

Do you have any information in this matter?

  • Hello Grzegorz,

There is a separate email discussion ongoing regarding this. Your colleague replied today and I will work with my colleague Dr. Walski to formulate an answer.
