I have used WaterCAD for a while now and am starting to use WaterGEMS now. I noticed that when I want to add a bing map as a background layer there is no option to do this. Is there a way I can add a background map in WaterGEMS based off coordinates.

WaterGEMS is enhanced version of WaterCAD, so all the features of WaterCAD are present in WaterGEMS along with some advanced tools which are not present in WaterCAD like SCADAConnect, Darwin Calibrator, Darwin Designer etc.
With that said, to access bing map in WaterGEMS, please go to View>Background layers>Bing map.

However, this feature is available from the CONNECT Edition Update 1 versions of WaterGEMS and WaterCAD.
Check your product version and see if you have a version equal to CONNECT Edition Update 1 or higher.

I am using WaterGEMS V8i (select series 4)
The Bing Maps feature was introduced in the CONNECT Edition release of WaterGEMS. You would need to upgrade to access this. If you have a Select agreement, you can use the steps here to upgrade.
