Compiling different coordinate system shapefiles into watergem model

Dear Bentley Support and Bentley Community,

I have a little problem with my work now and with my current understandings, it will take a little extra time to solve this.

here is the problem.

I have a model on WaterGEM that contains several DMAs. now i need to update (compile) some of the DMA (not all). the problem is the shapefiles i want to use have a different coordinate system with my old model.

i know it is better to change/re-project  the shapefiles with the same coordinate system as what my old model has, but i wonder if there are any other ways i can use?

i use the SA WaterGEM by the way.

Thanks

  • If the model was originally created in the correct coordinate system and the Shapefile has the wrong coordinate system, you could use ArcToolbox in ArcGIS to reproject the shapefile.
