Hello,
In my SewerGEMS model, i ran a GVF-Convex solver. When i open my EPS table on my pump it is only showing that my pump turns on twice in 24 hours. When i open up my graph for my wet well, for flows in and flows out, and my hydraulic grade, it shows that the wet well is being pumped out twice every 2 hours. What would be the reason for this error between the 2?
Thanks
Hello Bradley,
This may be related to the time step you are using. If your pump turns on and off quickly, it is possible that this is occurring between the reporting time step. The following link has information on this: Why do my pump results look different depending on the reporting time step and hydraulic/hydrologic time step? Adjusting the time steps may give you results you are expecting.
If that doesn't help, a screenshot of the issue (as mentioned by Mark) or a copy of the model files may be needed.

Hello, i tried setting my time step from 1 hour to every 30 minutes, ran the program, and now will show that my pump is always off on the EPS table. Here is the file, if someone is able to look at this, that would be amazing!
thanks!
Along with .stsw file we would also need .stsw.sqlite file which is database file without which model cannot be opened.

One comment while we wait for the SQLITE file (you'll need to compress this into a ZIP along with the .STSW) - try setting both the Hydraulic timestep and the Hydrologic timestep to the same value, perhaps something smaller such as 0.1 hours. Also, ensure that "reporting time step type" is set to "All".

I checked both pump stations and all three scenarios in the model provided and it appears that the pump is operating as expected. When I look at a graph of the pump flow and wet well hydraulic grade results, it appears to follow an expected pattern. See the screenshot below.
One thing to consider is upgrading, since you are using an older version of SewerGEMS.
Another thing you can try is the following. Close the model (you can leave SewerGEMS open) and browse to where the model files are saved using File Explorer. Next, create a new folder and copy just the .stsw and .stsw.sqlite files into the new folder. Once that is done, open the model from the new folder location. If the issue is related to bad data in one of the output or report files, this may help.
