Graph_SewerGems

when I graph a curve in sewergems and when I open the other tab (Data) I am getting the table, if I do a copy to Excel I am not getting the header (CTRL+C)? is there any way? Statistics do not appear there as well?

Mohamad

  • Hello Mohamad,

Do you mean that you are looking for an option in SewerGEMS graph > data tab to copy all data i.e. (CTRL+C). If yes then if you click in the corner as shown below there is an option to copy all data and paste it outside e.g. in excel.

Please note stat statistics will appear in flex table but not in graphs.

Can you please explain how would statistics help you in data tab of graph? It will help us to understand your requirement.

As it is data for an element over e.g. 24 hours and you can see the maximum value of say flow data on the graph.

  • Dear Sushma,

but the exact value, minimum and average will not appear on the graph.

one more thing, when press on the play button it moves as per the time step/reporting time, it is preferable to provide an option to move directly to the peak value instead of sliding. also we are looking to that feature in profile, where; to reach to the maximum HGL/EGL we do sliding the time and hard to catch the exact value.

    Thank you,

  • but the exact value, minimum and average will not appear on the graph.

The exact values for each timestep (as displayed in the graph) should be shown for the respective time in the Data tab. If this does not help, please elaborate on what you mean by "the exact value".

For the minimum and average, what kind of calculated results do you need to see this for? The graph Data Table shows the data behind the graphs. If you need statistical information for time series results, you could either add those specific fields to your graph/data table (for example maximum hydraulic grade, as a separate field), or if using the SWMM solver, use the Statistics tool (Analysis > Analysis Tools > More - though it is mostly intended for long term simulations - see this article, or "Statistical Analysis Tool" in this article). You could also copy/paste the results to Excel and determine the statistics, but I do not recall a request like this before so I would be interested to understand more about what you ultimately need to get from the model simulation that requires such statistics.

Each element in a profile may have a different time-to-max.For example suppose one manhole experiences its peak HGL at 12.10 hours and the manhole next to it experiences its peak at 12.15 hours. In a profile covering both manholes, which time should be displayed if we had a feature to "jump to peak"?

  • Hi Jesse,

I agree, I can copy data to excel and do Statistics, and that can be done, but it is better to be in your program since the feature exists in Flextable.

For the profile, what I am asking is feature exists in XPSWMM and PCSWMM, once I plot any profile I can jump directly to maximum values and show the HGL/EGL line at the maximum along the profile, so there is play button and another button which enable us to jump to the Max and will see the HGL line at the max. it is nice that feature to be there.

also the annotation editing would be great to avoid ext overlapping.

This does sound like it would be a nice feature, but it does not seem straightforward to me because the time-to-max HGL could be different for every element in the profile. That said, I have reported this to our product manager via Enhancement #1061108 - this will be considered for a future release. I have linked this enhancement to a new Service Request submitted on your behalf, for tracking purposes. I also added a note about it in the main article on profiling.
