Hello,

How I can find the the new added elements such as  Pipes , nodes, pump in a big water supply systems.

This question come up when we made a new scenario under that scenario  we added a lots of new pipes nodes which are currently built at sites to model. but whenever we checked the flex tables between two scenario  , we were unable to find the new added elements. Please advise.

  • Hello Ramin,

    A few thoughts:

    • Change Tracking can be used to see what elements have been changed, when they were changed and by whom.
    • If your pipe labeling options are set to increment the number in the label, you could sort the flextable by label and look at the highest numbered pipes
    • You could use the Installation year field, or a User Data Extension to add information about the elements, which you could then filter on. For example the age of the pipe, the "phase", etc.
    • When you say that you were "unable to find the new added elements", if you are saying that the elements do not exist in the flextable, try resetting any active filter.

  • Once you know which elements you want in each scenario, you can use Active Topology to set pipes to inactive in each Topology alternative. Your planning model can have all future pipes Inactive in the 2019 alternative, and future models can make groups of pipe Active .
