Hello,
I'm looking for the possibility of transferring my sewer network in SewerGEMs to BIM (preferably in REVIT). Any advise how can I do that?
Thanks
Nishadi
Hello Nishadi,
You can export your network to a LandXML format which could be imported into an AutoDesk platform. You could also export it to an i-model which can be opened on a MicroStation platform.
Besides these there are several other options also available.
Primarily you can export pipe networks to AutoCAD Civil 3D using the LandXML export option. See the article below for details on this;
Civil3D integration (Pipe network import/export)
However, if Revit has an option to import LandXML files you can open the same file.
You can also try exporting it to an i-model and then try importing it in Revit. See the below article for details;
What is an i-model and why does it show as a prerequisite? How do I publish an i-model?
Hope this helps.
