Hi,
I received the error "Value does not fall within the expected range" when trying to add a junction into my network.
Bentley Communities suggested that I compact my database (https://communities.bentley.com/products/hydraulics___hydrology/w/hydraulics_and_hydrology__wiki/23966/error-performing-standard-tasks-value-does-not-fall-within-the-expected-range) to resolve this and I chose the option to Retain records.
After Compacting my Database, my whole network was gone. I would like it back..... how?
Hello Keith,

Can you elaborate on this? Is it gone as in you can't see anything in your drawing area? Have you checked the flex-tables and are your elements visible there?
See this relevant wiki for troubleshooting;
Element is visible in the flextables but not visible in the drawing
In the above solution skip Option 2 as it is again related to Compacting Database.
You can try restoring your model from a backup file. You would have some backup files with extensions like .wtg.01.bak and .wtg.sqlite.01.bak. Try to restore your model from them. See if that helps. Here is a relevant article that can guide you on this;
Can I restore a backup file of my model project or software component?
Maybe share a snapshot of what you are seeing?
Let me know if any of this works out.
If this does not work out we would need to see a copy of your model files to see what is happening. See the below article for sharing hydraulic model files on our forum;

Hi Yashodhan,
I managed to get it open in hammer, but this was a backup, now watergems wont open the hammer file. It is saying"
Are WaterGEMS and HAMMER the same version? If not, that may be part of the issue. You will not be able to open a model saved in the CONNECT Edition Update 2 format in WaterGEMS CONNECT Edition Update 1. This link has details.
If they are the same version, it would be useful to see a copy of the model files. Yashodhan provided instructions on how to send these in his earlier post. Please confirm what version of WaterGEMS you are using as well. You can go this by going to File > Help > About WaterGEMS. The version number will be in the lower left of the dialog.

Hi Scott,
They are different versions. I am now running the analysis in hammer.
If you are running a hydraulic analysis, you may want to upgrade your WaterGEMS instead. You can model steady state or EPS analyses in HAMMER's initial conditions calculation, but if you need to do just about anything else (fire flow, water quality, etc), you will run into limitations.
