I am running StormCAD CONNECT Edition Update 2 w/ Microstation V8i (SELECTseries 4). I am trying to export engineering profiles to the drawing (I'd prefer to not export each profile as an individual .dxf). However, when trying to do this I get an error "symbol "dwgOpenGlobals" not defined. Can anyone help troubleshoot this?
Thanks
Hello Brent,
I am not getting such a message and am able to "export to drawing" and place the profile in my DGN. See the snapshot of "Sample_1" of StormCAD (Program Files (x86) > Bentley > StormCAD > Sample_1.dgn) I have opened in the integrated version (StormCAD + MicroStation)
Which version of MicroStation V8i and StormCAD are you using? If you can't locate your version number please see the wiki article below to guide you on this;
Locating OpenFlows Product Version Number and License Information
In MicroStation you can find the license number under Help > About MicroStation V8i
I am using the latest StormCAD CONNECT Edition Update 2.3 (v 10.02.03.03) and MicroStation V8i Select Series 10 (08.11.09.916).
Regards,
Yashodhan Joshi
Hi Yashodhan,
I am using StormCAD CONNECT Edition (Update 2) MicroStation V8i Select Series 4 (08.11.09.832). Here is a screenshot of the error message:
Thanks for your help.
I was not able to locate a record of any past known issues matching the error symptom.
There are a few different versions of "Update 2". Please check the StormCAD > Help > About window (or File > Help > About, in the Standalone version). The latest is 10.02.03.03.
Have you tried testing this with one of the example models like Yashodhan did? If you cannot reproduce the issue in a sample file, then there could be a problem with your model and/or DGN file. In this case, can you provide a copy of the files for us to test? Please include the .STSW, .STSW.SQLITE and the .DGN file (compressed in a ZIP file), plus any specific steps needed to observe the issue. You can use one of the options mentioned in the following article to send the ZIP file: Sharing Hydraulic Model Files on the OpenFlows Forum
If the same issue occurs in the example model, the issue may be with your MicroStation or the way that StormCAD is integrated with it. In this case, please let us know if you are using a custom workspace (or if you are selecting the "stormcad" user/project in the MicroStation Manager), and try reintegrating per the top portion of this article from our Wiki: Troubleshooting MicroStation integration
