Soak Away Chamber

Hi

Good day, just to ask a question, how do I model Soak away Manhole/Chamber with infiltration on the bottom of the chamber and the Stormwater inlet is connected to it, see drawing below.

Thank you for the response.

  • Hi

    Thanks for the reply, actually that is a manhole with overflow pipe going to the ditch/swale, the purpose is to control the flow from SW network to the ditch going to existing manhole  as you can see in my C3D layout /profile, and the infiltration from ditch will carry by the sub soil drainage (yes its confusing) (our client want this system).

  • Hello Gregorio,

    Can you simplify the network in maybe a schematic. Its difficult to make out the exact entities (manhole and others) in your network in C3D.

    If you can simplify, does the manhole have any incoming flow from somewhere? From your explanation I could understand that the manhole has some sort of overflow which is going to a ditch or swale. But how is the flow controlled going "to the existing manhole"? It also seems that the ditch is having seepage (infiltration) to the sub soil.

    Is my understanding correct?

    If you are looking to model a ditch we have a wiki which can guide you on this;

    Let me know if this helps.
