As I know that SewerGEMS is equipped with water quality analysis, I have a stormwater network and would carry out the quality run, can somebody provide the guides and steps?
Thank you,
Mohamad
Hello Mohamad,
The following link has information on modeling water quality in SewerGEMS: Prediction of quality characteristics of sewers. There is some information in Help documentation as well.
Finally, there are some videos on our YouTube channel, including items related to water quality.

Scott
SewerGEMS (with the explicit SWWM) solver can calculate pollutant transport. You can have point sources as you do with wastewater but stormwater pollutant loadings are primarily non-point loads. This means you need to provide buildup rates for the pollutants being deposited on catchments during dry weather and washoff rates for those pollutants entering the system during storm events. Determining these values will take some serious research of calibration. You may need to find an expert on this.
You need to define land uses with their buildup and washoff rates and assign them to catchments. See the help on "water quality" to get yuo started.
