Flood Version 10.03.00.01 -ModelBasin Error 200 when Simulating Urban Flood Simulation Example

Hello

I'mworking through the Urban flood simulation training  example with the latest version of Flood.  When executing the simulation im receiving an error 200 , with the Basin.Module - see atttatched pic.

What does this error mean.?  How do I fix it?

  • Hello Craig,

Can you share the screenshot once more? With a better resolution? I am unable to see the error information given. The image size is too small it seems.

  • Hi Craig,

In the Basin module configuration you've selected the option "Initial Conditions -> Continue from previous simulation" but the simulation you are trying to run is a "cold start" run, meaning it does not have any information available to start from. This option should be set to True when, for example, you run a simulation for the month of January and then want to run a continuation of that simulation for the month of February and you want to pick up the initial conditions from the final results of the January run. OpenFlows FLOOD always write a "restart" file by default, so you can always restart and continue your model simulation.

If you set this option to False, then the simulation will start with the default initial conditions, and the error will not appear.

Please let me know if this solves the problem and if you need any additional information.

    Thanks and regards,

    Luis

  • Hi Craig,

Is this a "MOHID Land" or "Urban Flood Simulator" model simulation? It seems you have activated the option "Drainage Network Module" in the Basin configuration but you have not added the Drainage Network module to your simulation.

I don't think you need that option activated for the urban flood training example, so please set it to False. If that does not solve the problem, could you export the workspace and upload it here please? You can do that by following the instructions here

Please let me know if you need any additional information.

    Thanks and regards,
    Luis
