Can't define a proper pump definition

In peak scenario, we need to design the system in accordance with velocity and cover constraints (maximum 15 ft of cover). Without changing discharge, we couldn’t add pump and wet well to the system. How can we decide on the pump definition? (Flushing is allowable.)gems_files.zip

  • Hello Ege,

Could you please elaborate your query? Do you mean that you need help with defining the peak flow so you can estimate pump definition?

You can define the peak factors using extreme flow setup with GVF Convex solver.

    Using Extreme Flow Factors

Or you mean you need help with defining the location / placement of wet well and pump? That would depend upon ground profile, please look profiles in model.

To define the pump first you can place the pump with rough estimate of flow and head to be delivered and then use system head curve which will help in defining pump definition based on flow and head in model.

If this does not help you then please elaborate your query?
