I want to design my channel as a rectangular channel only at my outfall i.e. chute.
So I added my specific size rectangular channel in conduit catalogue but it is not getting picked up in properties.

Cross section element does not support rectangular channel conduit catalog shape type, that's why its not available for selection even when you create rectangular channel type in conduit catalog.
Please note that channels cannot be designed using StormCAD, they can only be analyzed for the input data or existing conditions.
What you can do is , put left side and right side slope of the trapezoidal section as zero, this way it will be considered as rectangular channel.
Channels are considered to be either trapezoidal or irregular in StormCAD, so you dont have option to select the rectangular section either through user defined or conduit catalog.
