Hi,
Is there any direction on how we can link WaterGEMS with Power BI for data visualization purposes? Does WaterGEMS have an output file for each scenario computed that we can connect to Power BI or is it necessary to manually export all files into excel?
Regards,
Youssef
Hi Youssef,
Power BI would not be able to connect directly to the WaterGEMS model database or output files, but we do have several tools available to get your model data into a format that Power BI can consume. A quick example would be the Excel Export feature (File > Export > Excel). For more advanced use, we also have the ability to automatically write results to a CSV file: Automatic processing of results (or other) data using an extensible data exchange framework

Jesse,
This is extremely informative, thank you so much. I am still experimenting with this but there seems to be a lot of potential. I am curious if there were past or future planned webinars regarding this topic?
We don't have webinars about interaction with Power BI but we have experience with it.
If you have a specific task you want to perform between WaterGEMS and power BI, you can contact us directly describing your goal. We can tell you how do it (or if it is impossible). Send such an email to
