I just purchased WaterCad and it won't open for me. Asks for me to sign in but when I click on the 'sign in' icon, it quits. I am registered and have a valid password. What am I doing wrong?
Hi Donald,
Sign-in for Bentley products is handled through the CONNECTION Client. You should see the icon for it in the lower right corner of the Windows task bar.
Try Right-clicking on that and choose Open to see if you can sign-in there successfully first, then try running WaterCAD again.
Rob.

If you are still having issues, you could try downloading and reinstalling CONNECTION Client.
Hello Donald,
Which version of WaterCAD have you purchased? The latest version is the CONNECT Edition Update 3 (10.03.01.08). Since Update 2 versions of our products you have to sign in to CONNECTION Client to run the product.
Have you tried signing in to CONNECTION Client as shown by Rob in the earlier response?

When you say "it quits"? What does? CONNECTION Client or WaterCAD?
If you are facing problems in CONNECTION Client we have documented some commonly occurring problems. See the article below for details on these;
Sign in problems or "stopped working" error with CONNECTION Client
Let me know if this helps. If you are facing any other issues in activation kindly provide more details.

The Feature Level Selector will show the licensing information. The CONNECTION Client is a separate installation included with the WaterCAD installation file. This is the tool you would log into to activate the software.
You can open the CONNECTION Client through the Task Bar mentioned by Rob. You can also search for it in the Start menu on the computer. Once you have this open, make sure to log in. If you are unable to sign into the CONNECTION Client and the steps in the link Yashodhan provided do not help, please let us know.
If you are able to sign in, make sure to keep the CONNECTION Client open. I typically click the "X" in the upper right and let it run in the background. As long as it is active and logged in, you should be able to access the license. The link related to the Feature Level Selector above can help choose your license feature if needed.
If that doesn't help, some screenshots of the tools you are using may be useful to get a better idea of the workflow you are taking and where possible issues may lie. In addition, please confirm for us the version of WaterCAD and CONNECTION Client you are using.
