I was using SewerGems model to optimize the sewerage network. In the first run, it gave the diameters to the sewer pipes as per their capacities and constraints specified. After optimizing I modified the slopes of the pipes to limit the depth of the complete sewer system. But at some places, the Hydraulic line is exceeding the capacity of the pipes but in downstream the hydraulic line seems to be meeting the capacity of the pipe whereas the overall flow remains same in downstream with same diameter. I am attaching the snapshot of profile as well as flex table for reference.
Hello Anjali,
For most of the conduits depth / rise ratio is 100 % which means that conduits are surcharged and operating under pressure.
What user notifications do you see after computing? A screenshot would help. Are the manholes overflowing? It doesn't appear so but could you please color code the manhole for "Is ever overflowing"?
In that case you would need to revise your inputs like design constraints or conduit sizes.
Why does the profile for the system appear to be at odds with the results for the capacity?
