Easy way to get to Graphs from a Selection Set?

Watercad 10.03.01.08 64-bit

I've got several elements (scattered throughout the network) that I want to graph data for.  I've got the elements grouped into a Selection Set.

The only way I've found to get to the "Graphs" option is to activate the Selection Set, then "Select in Drawing", then zoom into one of the elements, right-click and select "Graph".

It seems to me that, when the Selection Set is highlighted there should be a "Graph" selection available on the right-click menu.

Am I missing something?  It seems like a trivial matter to zoom into an element, right-click and select "Graph", but that's a lot of (IMO) unnecessary zooming and clicking.

  • Hi Gary,

Network Navigator and Quick Graph may be a good option for you.

On the Ribbon, navigate to the View tab, click "Quick Graph" and then click "Navigator" to open those windows.

    1. In the Network Navigator window, use the combobox at the top to choose your selection set (the list will update to show the elements in the selection set).
    2. Use the "Zoom" button to navigate to the first element (the Quick Graph window will show the graph for that element)
    3. Use "Zoom Next" to navigate through the rest of the list (again the Quick Graph window will update to show the graph for the current element).

The Quick Graph window has a "Graph" button on it as well - click that if you want to open a dedicated graph window for each element as you progress.

  • Thanks!  It looks like that method will work fine - no zooming in/out required!
