Transient analysis

I simulated the model in the following link for transient. But I feel it run in steady state. I may have made a mistake. Please explain how to correct it.

    If you look at your calculation options, you currently have your Run Duration Type set to "Time Steps" with the number of time steps being set to 2. With your time step interval set as 0.01 seconds, this means that the model in only computing for 0.02 seconds. 

    You will want to increase the number of time steps substantially. However, a simpler solution would set the Run Duration Type to "Time" and enter a value for how long you want the model to run for. How long that will be will depend on the setup and transient impact on the system. You can find information on setting a run duration here: What should the run duration of a HAMMER model be set to?

    I would also recommend setting "Generate Animation Data?" to True. While the profile will still show the minimum and maximum hydraulic grade, a profile animation will give greater detail on the time of transient events in the system.
