I am running a WaterGEMS modeling with pumps, and I wonder how the transient will affect my model? Specifically, there are a "pump type transient" field to be selected, and I'm not sure which one to pick and how to see the difference between the choices. So I guess a follow up question is:
How to check the transient analysis in WaterGEMS?

Hello Valerie,
"Pump type transient" field is to be mentioned / entered when you are preparing your model for transient analysis. Basically WaterGEMS model can be carried forward / opened directly in Hammer software to perform transient analysis.
So transient fields present in WaterGEMS are for the purpose of preparing your model to perform transient analysis in Hammer and not in WaterGEMS. About pump type transient, there could be multiple transient events to choose from like pump shut down, pump start or working of variable speed pump etc. More details about it can be found in learning resource guide of Hammer below.
