I am using Bentley Connect Edition 10.01.01.04.
I used modelbuilder for importing the taps, laterals and customer meters.
Using tools, the taps were assigned to the links.
For laterals, I am getting user notification as "Lateral has a customer

RE: "Lateral has a customer meter as its stop node" User notification

Another option to consider is to only import the customer meters, then use LoadBuilder to create the taps and laterals for you. This could work well (and ensure proper lateral orientation) if the assumptions behind the spatial-based assignment work well for your particular system (you might need to review and fix them up if there are mis-assignments due to tight spacing). See: Using LoadBuilder to assign Customer Meters to the nearest pipe using taps and laterals

We strongly recommend upgrading (the latest version is 10.03.03.72) as the version you are using uses older licensing technology that is being retired. See: Important License Update for OpenFlows Users

RE: "Lateral has a customer meter as its stop node" User notification

Hello Chetan,

When importing via ModelBuilder do you have the option to see the start and stop nodes of your laterals. If they are oriented in such a way that the start is the "Tap" node and the "Stop" is the Customer Meter, you would get the user notification that customer meter is the stop node for the laterals.

If you can "update" the elements by ModelBuilder just put the "Start Node" = "Stop" and the "Stop Node" = "Start" to reverse the orientation. This way all your customer meters would be the Start Nodes and your Taps would be the Stop Nodes.

For more details on globally reversing orientation of pipes or links see this article: Reversing orientation of Pipes and Conduits in Bulk

However, since you already have imported the network via ModelBuilder you can simply "update" the model with the changes as proposed above. For details on updating a model using ModelBuilder see the section titled, "Updating an existing model using ModelBuilder" in this article: Using ModelBuilder to Import External Data.

Hope this helps.
