SewerGems - Sag Inlet Modeling

Hello, I am working on a project using SewerGems, as required by the client. We are semi-new to the software, but have a model built and looking for some guidance on how to efficiently model sag inlets.

We currently have the subcatchment routed to a pond(surface storage), and the pond routed to a Pond Outlet Structure (POS). This is then routed to a manhole using a "dummy" link & into the sub-surface conduits.

Wondering what is the best way to model... in order to achieve: surface storage(currently done by the pond, but maybe another way?), inlet capacity, and connection to the sub-surface pipes. There are also a few locations where we could have reverse flow out of the inlet, back into the "storage" node.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
