Hammer/WaterGEMS/SewerGEMS-Connect Edition - Export models to GIS files

Hi everyone

Do you any idea about who we can export my models' data and attribute directly from Hammer/WaterGEMS/SewerGEMS to GIS files?

More exactly I want to export my models to GIS files with all attributes, in order to open and edit them in for example QGIS platform.

I appreciate your help and any solutions in advance. Slight smile

  • Hello Hasan,

You can export model elements to Shapefile using the export button in the top-left corner of the flextables. See: Exporting model elements to shapefiles

This needs to be done separately for each element type. You can add all the attributes you want to the Flextable first before exporting, but note that there is a limitation on the number of allowable characters in field names for a Shapefile.

If you have many different element types and need to export all at once, another possible option is to use the Excel export option, then externally convert the spreadsheet to Shapefile (outside of the scope of Bentley Support). See "Export from file menu" in this article: Export data to an Excel spreadsheet
