Difficulty importing Shapefile into Watergems

Hello,

I have been having this issue on multiple models i am currently working of for a couple of clients. When I import a shapefile for geocoded demands from our GIS dept the background layer is showing up in the middle of the ocean by Africa. However, when I import the shapefiles I received off of ArcGIS online they input into the correct location where the watermains have been drawn. I need this shapefile so i may put it into LoadBuilder and create the demands. See below for the pictures:

Entire Model View:

Shapefiles imported off GIS online correctly:

GIS View of all files aligning correctly:

they both have the same geographic coordinate system and this has been a persistent issue. The geocoded shapefile only shows like 2 dots as well in the model but all the individual addresses in GIS.

  • The problem is exactly as Scott described it. The layer only has geographic coordinate system defined with no projected coordinate system. You isolation valves file, however, has a defined projected coordinate system of WGS_1984_Web_Mercator_Auxiliary_Sphere. If you want the layers to line up correctly try to project the Geocoded layer in that project coordinate system.
