Modeling pumps in watergems

Good day

I am modeling an aqueduct system and I have the following concern regarding a sector of deep wells with its pumping system:
For the pumps, I only have the power of the bike, which is 10hp and 15hp, and I have the consented flow that is 12 l / s and 16l / s
But I am clear about how to add that information to my types of pumps, model annex for your review.

  • Hello Jefry,

    If the power data for the pump is what is available, then you can use that. I am not seeing any issues with the results. Was there something that you are concerned about?

    Regards,

    Scott

  • I'm not sure I understand what is meant by the "bike". Is this some kind of human propelled pump.

    With regard to using the horsepower to model the pump, remember that it is the horsepower added to the water (water HP), not the horsepower of the motor itself. You need to account for inefficiency. Horsepower is the least accurate way we have of modeling pump curves.

    It models the pump curve as

    h = k HP/Q
